Middle Earth fan girl

So I meant to post a blog a while ago about setting the Hobbit. (I saw it a week before it came out ^^) I was so excited, after all I am a huge nerd when it comes to The Lord Of The Rings. The movie was amazing! A total 10 out of 10! Some people didn't care for the higher screen rates claiming it made the movie too realistic. But i believe that added too getting lost in it. The 3d made it feel as if i was there with Bilbo! And to take it to the next level of nerdom i got this awesome ring =)
One ring to rule them all

1 hour and 1 day before the end of the month...

I realized I haven't written a blog in a few weeks. I've been so caught up in my nano novel.

but the good news is Im done! I've finished!

And I couldn't be happier.

I feel like writing a book is a serious accomplishment. Writing a series takes a lot of work, a lot of planning. And for some reason I got so caught up in some stress in life but managed to pull myself around and complete the book. even if I feel behind for a while.

But I'm going to stop rambling and call it a night.

Just remember everyone has a story to tell. Whats yours?

NaNoWriMo

For those of you who don't know what NaNoWriMo is... its National Novel Writing Month that is done every November. The goal is to write a full 50k word novel in just a month.

It is also stressful and rewarding all in one.

I'm participating in it yet again this year and hope to successfully finish this year as well. And I recommend it to anyone who loves to write to their hearts content.

But other than that my mind is in such a whirlwind... I'm writing about some very serious issues and having glee show tunes in my head...

Maybe its not the best combination. And maybe I should switch the tune and  throw on something to fit the mood. But... that doesn't always work for me. Sure sometimes if I get the right music to match the mood of the scene I can go on and on and on. But not today :D

But... enough rambling i should get a few hundred words down before bed.

So Little Time So Much To Do....

So much to do so little time.... It seems like that's happening a lot to people. I am one of those people. Between work, bills, work, sleep, work, eat, work, and you guessed it, work I find I dont have much free time for myself. And now NaNoWriMo is coming up so I need to brush up on my book for that! (I will be working on the second book of the series) And I refuse to abandon my blog. For a while now I was meaning to get on and make a blog up! I havent abandoned you guys!

I recently saw Paranormal Activity 4 as well.... The movie was pretty good. I feel it sums up a few loose strings that the other movies left behind. Though as much as I enjoy the Paranormal movies I think this should be the last one. Check it out and you'll see what I mean. I even jumped on this one!

Also, as if my fan-girling wasnt completely obvious when it comes to Repo! The Genetic Opera, and The Devil's Carnival. My Ringmaster edition of TDC came in the mail the other day! So naturally I watched it instantly as soon as I got home from work. :) It didnt dissapoint the second time around. You can also watch it on Hulu! Though I've already purchased it for my iPad as well so I'm good wherever I go :) if you like dark, horror, cult classic musicals then you really should check out Repo and TDC!

Also I've become addicted to my iPad. Well more addicted then I was! It goes with me EVERYWHERE. It's replaced my notebooks and nook. After all I can read, write and do just about anything on it. I dont even care that its not a 3g one. That is what my phone is for :) But as far as writing goes and my photography this has really improved the ease of it.

Well thats about the biggest update I got for you guys. My life has been pretty uneventful. A little personal stress but thats a story for another time. I hope to give the big pre-Nano blog in the next couple days so... stay tuned!

Rest well

Words

There is so much meaning behind words. They always say a picture is worth a thousand words. But a single sentence can make or break someone. A single word can hold a million different definitions, a million meanings, a million emotions.

Words are also our main form of communication.

With that in mind its amazing some relationships last, or fail. Or even that some people lose jobs, or keep them.

But at the same time words are a form of art. An author is an artist with words, They can manipulate a sentance. Create a world and I have nothing but respect for their work.

And Scripts....

Okay so here's a quick story, (For those who don't know I'm a big time Gleek) I'm trying to catch up on season 3 since I always seemed to work when it was on (thanks Hulu+). I know a lot of people hate this show, and a lot of people love it. (if you are in the grey zone you probably haven't really seen it yet ^_^)

Well as it is I'm watching the final episodes of the season and man, I get so lost in it. Like.... (spoiler alert if you keep reading) When the New Directions were at Nationals. When they won I literally cheered.

Then I remembered my headphones were on and it was 1:30 in the morning. Needless to say the rest of my household was away in dream land.

But That's what reality shows are really missing. They don't have scripts (well they aren't suppose to anyway)  they don't have a plot, a captivating story. They cant just draw you in and let you get lost in an alternate reality.

And my last thoughts literary just fluttered out of my head......

So if you've stuck around to read this last bit of my blog. thank you. I hope it was entertaining and not so sleep deprived as I feel.

And now I have the blogger app installed on my phone so I can hopefully blog a little more frequently. I realize I've missed out on a few blogs the past couple weeks.

But that's enough rambling for now.

Well wishes and happy thoughts your way!

While watching tv.....

I managed to catch Face Off.

For those of you who dont know Face Off is... Its a show on Syfy. Well its a contest show for make-up artists. Its actually really cool. Like for instance, on todays episode (season premier) they had to create their own Star Wars character....

Its just mind blowing to see these artist creating such a visual challenge to reality. Dont get me wrong, I've seen them do some horrible challenges that are just... bad. But seeing these normal people turn into abnormal creatures... Its like writing. We create with words what they create with make-up. And I have a lot of respect for them for that feat. I can barely put eye liner on.... and they, well lets just say they use a little more than eyeliner. and these models... well kudos to them to, its not easy walking around in some of these creations much less falling into character.

Now that I'm done gushing about Face Off (not to mention all the judges are awesome costume/make up designers) I think I'll finish watching this episode, text Calli, Chat with Del, and work on my new outline some more *more new ideas xD*

...And fall asleep. Which is really what I should be doing right now in the first place.

Keep it real!

And yes Calli... SUPER JELLY :)

Random Update

So as most of you know (By reading my last blog) last week I saw the Devil's Carnival. It's inspired a whole new train of thought for me. But those who are worried about the outcome of Le Tarot with this news fear not. I will not stop working on those *yay*

But alas the pictures have finally been posted! So I have proof of meeting Darren and Terrance!

I also added to my extreme fangirldomness (awesome word right?) and got some Zydrate for myself! That's right! Zydrate that comes (literally)  in a little glass vial. I was even fangirly enough that I made a mural picture thing for it. However the original picture is on my iPad which is currently a whole story below me so I wont be uploading that to photobucket. Instead I shall share my Twitter pic of it:

*1st picture is when I got the Zydrate

*2nd picture is the Zydrate with a black light

*3rd picture is the Zydrate glowing all on its own!

*The other one on the side is a nerd picture of me and my Z :D

I love that it really does glow!

But now I feel like I need to add some about me information. Like... cant fill a whole blog with the nerdism. (but I totally could ;))

So I joined pintrest. I know i know, everyone has one, but that didn't stop me. So far... I'm enjoying it. Its addicting, but I still am working A LOT so I haven't had a whole lot of time building my boards. But I'm sure I'll be sharing the world of pintrest soon enough.

Twitter is also becoming my friend. At first, I'll admit, I saw the whole twitter thing as kinda dumb. But now... Well now I'm on it more than I am on Facebook. (@T_Jahn if anyone wants to follow me). Its amazing some of the tweets I see. Especially from Uber facts. I learn so much random info it amuses my co-workers.

Ugh.... I'm rambling. So now it being 1:40 in the morning I need to finish getting some photos together for a photobook and hit the hay.

For the record.... I realized AFTER I posted this blog I could just add the pictures :D so I did....

The Devil's Carnival

So for those of you who are fanatic followers or even just fans of Repo! The Genetic Opera you already know that Darren Bousman and Terrance Zudnich are at it again. This time with The Devils Carnival (http://www.thedevilscarnival.com/) For anyone who isnt aware I suggest you look into it.

Lets all go to Hell's Carnival!

I won two tickets to see this screening and as soon as I got the email I knew there was no turning back. After all, I didnt really have an excuse right? So as soon as I got off work Kai and I kicked it to the cities. The wait was fun, the swag was fantastic (signed soundtrack 4003/5000) and the movie... Just wow. It blew me away, the music was saved more for performances instead of just the entire movie (ya know... talk instead of sing) but this didnt bother me. No, quite the opposite.... The songs were addicting and catchy and the performances were just amazing. I would tell you all more about the movie but.... Well I dont feel right, after all, you should experience the Devil's Carnival yourselves :).

The Q&A afterwords was also full of lots of entertainment as well. It was awesome just seeing Darren and Terrance... Meeting them just blew my mind away. They are quite literaly my Idols. I'm hoping to get the picture of them up online soon.

Until then Check out the awesome that is Devil's Carnival and dont forget Repo!

Till we meet again

Music and Soul searching.... at 1 am....

Music has the ability to control your thoughts. Well maybe not control but they can sway your thoughts. For instance listening to Darren Hayes song 'Unlovable' can bring out the depressing thoughts you have lurking in the back of your brain.

Music can help you understand yourself more. though right now. I dont know if I really want to. I sit here and look at my life. And some days I think I'm doing pretty great for myself, yet other days dread clouds my vision. I like to think that depression and self depreciation are all basic thoughts for most human beings. That at one point or another in our lives we all fall victim to it. But of course, sitting here feeling it makes me feel like the 'one in a million' and not in a good way.

But come tomorrow or the next day my mood should perk up again. And I'm sure I'll only repeat this process. These thoughts, this inner turmoil. I can only imagine what my characters feel having lived through what I put them through. I feel almost guilty about it sometimes. But, like fate, I can change the paths they take no more than I can change my own past.

Scars make us stronger.

And now I feel I should end this meloncoly post before It just turns pathetic.

On a side note, a new poem should be released on my poetry page soon.

And another side note, I finished reading 'Fifty Shades of Grey' though before I can comment much more on that I think I need to digest everything I've read. I'm sure I'll be posting a new post soon all about it.

till then I bid thee adieu.

blessed wishes
Tasha

A Retrospect

So back from my Vacation. Which I must say, despite the writing I didnt get done, was awesome. Well and the theft but minor inconveniences like that can be over looked right? Besides got a new one, got new pictures, and now can put together a new portfolio!

But I've learned something. I dont know if I will be happy with just staying in one place. Dont get me wrong, I like the idea of stability (stable home, stable relationships, stable family) but I just think I'm to restless with life, and there is to much out there that I just dont want to stay in one place. This is why Renting has always appealed to me. Yeah, I know you sign a lease and all but you can get 12 month, 6 month, even month to month leases. I'm not ruling out the possibility that I'll end up somewhere and love it and want to stay.... But then I'll just sign a new lease.

Renting to me gives you more options, if down the road you decide you want to go somewhere new then you have that option. Whereas buying a house, you lose that option. You're stuck there at least till you pay the house off or sell it off. What do you think?

But since I've spent most of this blog talking about that I suppose its not really a retrospect blog but I'm sure one will come.

Well.... Time to get some paper and a pen ^_^

The Avengers

So, just got back from a Midnight screening of The Avengers. And I gotta say.... It pretty much blew my mind! I've always been a big fan of Marvel comics and though some of their movies were a little mediocre the ones concerning the Avengers (Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor) had been pretty good so I went into the theater with high hopes. I'm glad I wasnt dissapointed. The story line was great, the action was amazing, the acting was awesome. And Hawkeye... Well I'll let that train of thought stay with me ;)

The CG work did not dissapoint either. It seemed very realistic as if maybe a huge green giant man may actualy pop up in the row behind you and start smashing things to bits. Kudos to graphics team I can only imagine how much work was put into a single scene.

Reading through this I cant help but laugh at myself. I could literally sit here for an hour just gushing about how much I loved the Avengers..... I cant believe I've reached such a fan girl state....

But I'll accept that. I'm a fangirl of the Avengers. And I cant wait to see the movie again

and again

and again

but for now.... I must try to get some sleep work will only come too soon now.

Colorado

The time is almost here.... My vacation.

Im so excited

Though my mind keeps wandering to this and that so im stuck sitting here at Dunn Bros with nothing actually accomplished as far as my ScriptFrenzy stuff. Its crazy. But what can you do? I dont know if I am really gonna finish it on time. But I'm okay with that. My mind is telling me that it needs to focus on other stuff anyway.

So for now I shall drink my coffee and cruise the internet.

And get my nails done
And my hair cut
And my check cashed
and my sanity in check

Such a busy day.

Just keep swimming...

I realized I have been rather lax on posting on my blog. I apologize to those who have been expecting a new post. Between work and editing my book, and now scrambling to finish script frenzy I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed (To say the least). Life seems to be changing for me by the hour and I can only hope when it stops that it will be for the better.

I do plan on a more consistent blog update once everything has settled.

But for the time being I will update everyone with this:
The editing on my manuscript is nearly finished so expect news on that soon.
Script frenzy is a challenge but I find that writing scripts is kinda fun.
And last but not least

I'm taking a vacation!

I'm very excited to say that I'll be visiting Colorado very soon! With my new camera I'm looking forward to the pictures and hopefully some new inspiration for some new stories!

Well I have a long day ahead of myself so I must sign off for now. I bid you all adieu.

Food For Thought....

Can you be really good friends with people online?

This is a constant debate that several people have. I have never really paid much thought to it until it actually affected me. I have a few good friends here in 'real life' but I also have several online friends. Some of them are very good friends too.

But there is always that doubt that they may not be who they say they are. I've never been to worried about this. Maybe I'm a bit to trusting, but with the exception of a few, my trust has not seemed to be abused. And none of the issues I've had with people online were any of those creepy stalker types.

So all in all I see no problem with befriending people online. I understand being weary with the information you share with others. But just because you cant tell someone where you live doesnt mean you cant be friends with them.

on a side note, I also understand that many people have not had the same experience online as I have. And that the internet can be a very dangerous place for someone. you never really know who that person who just sent you a friend request is. Or that stranger who just send you and instant message. And you really do need to be careful who you talk to. Consider what you're saying to. Always think before you accept any requests from people you dont know. Being careful online will help you enjoy it.

A big thanks to Del, Mori, Cappers, Kiba, Tar, Fuzz, Xani, and Saria, for not being the creepers.
And putting up with me ^^

Sitting at Dunn Bros

I love the coffee shop feel that Dunn Bros has to offer. Granted I am not much of a coffee drinker. But with my manuscript, Apple Cider and Amber by my side.... It makes the best atmoshpere for creativity. As we sit here throwing ideas back and fourth. working on story after story that brews in our minds. I wonder why we never did this before?

I think its important for everyone to have that 'comfort zone' somewhere they can go to help their flow of creativity. Mine just happens to be a coffee shop (despite the stereotypes of authors living in coffee shops) whats yours?

So...

So I know its been a while since I last posted a blog.

Sorry guys, life has been busy and I'm just trying to keep up with it.

There is good news though. I'm over half way done with my editing for 'Le Tarot' as well as a few new blips that could turn into manuscripts soon...

I'm also trying to work out a script for Script Frenzy. But unfortunately I'm not as amazing as my dear friend Jenny so she will probably be kicking my butt that whole month ^^. But that's okay. I'm just starting scripts after all. hopefully she'll take pity on the newb.

Well just thought I'd drop by with a quick update and a quick hello. I have movie madness tomorrow so I should think about getting some rest!

Sometimes Disney is all it takes

Sitting here watching the Disney Channel I've realized that sometimes when life is just stressing you out all it takes is a little time on the couch, the dog curled up on your lap, and the Disney channel playing some kiddie show. I think that really is about kinda escaping to your childhood for a few minutes.

A secret little bliss that everyone has, even if they wont admit it.

Childhood, after all, was such a simple time. An innocent time where the worst evil in the world was school, or homework. or that afternoon nap.

Now I suppose enough flashbacks. I need to get back to editing my story. Or read more of Hunger Games. I somehow thought this would be a longer block... but that happens sometimes right?

Also, recently while I was at Target, I saw an amazing book. In an ealier blog I talked about Amanda Hocking, a local Minnesota author (http://amandahocking.blogspot.com/) well she now pulblished her book in paperback! the Trylle trilogy is an amazing series! And the new covers, well they're very well done as well its what caught my attention. If you havent read them I suggest you hurry on over to your local book store (or online book store as it may be) and check it out. http://www.target.com/p/Switched-Trylle-Trilogy-1-by-Amanda-Hocking-Paperback/-/A-13982543#?lnk=sc_qi_detaillink
